Cool Problems with Tizanidine

Does any one have problems taking tizanidine like feeling like you are going to throw up?? I finally got to start taking this for muscle spasms or nerve spasms for rsd and I took it for the first day and felt so much better but then that evening I woke up from a dead sleep feeling like I was going to barf and took it the next day thinking I had the flu and felt waves of nausea wash over me off and on all day. But then of course thought I had stomach flu so stopped taking it. Doc said to quit taking it?? Changed gp doc and he is going thru all paperwork and getting back to me..This week I hope..

Hey Sunshine Girl!

I have never tried Tizanidine (Zanaflex).

I did read up on it looking for side effects... nausea is not listed as a side effect. However, anything is possible when dealing with medicines.

I suggest contacting your doctor or pharmacist and inquiring about possible medication interactions. There is always a chance that the medicines you are taking just are not playing well with each other.

I wish you the best.
<---gentle hugs,
Abbie

i suffer from nausea daily because of crps2(rsd). i like 2 meds for nausea. belladonna a few times a day works for me and doesnt cause the drowsiness phenergan 25 causes. phenergan works great but i have to plan a nap shortly after taking it.

you might be very sensitive to tizinidine which is the generic for zanaflex. i had my doc write out for zanaflex because i couldnt handle the generic. i also couldnt handle the capsules and so i take the 4mg tablet. works good for spasms.

good luck

mike
