Default Is this MP?

Hi there I'm new to this. Just looking for info/support to keep me sane while I wait to see my neurologist.
My doctor thinks I've got Meralgia Paresthetica, it started with discomfort in lower back and abs but has now resulted in strange numbness in both thighs and a "band like" sensation above my knees. I can't bear to wear jeans cos it feels all "clammy". I also have tingly fingers and toes. Anyone have similar symptoms? I thought MP was just in the outer thigh? It's the second time I've had this, the last episode was 6 months ago and it cleared up after 10 days.

Light touch feeling to the knee only, meaning just brushing the hair or touching the leg with a feather hurts more than punching it. Anxiety causes inflammation, so fearing that it is MP can cause secondary symptoms showing up. Hope everything came out ok!
