Rob, thanks for your post it has eased my mind somewhat.
I am from the midlands in England so Ohio may be a bit far to go but from what u are saying and from other posts I have read it sounds like surgery is a simple and often successful option. I had a nerve block as way of a diagnosis about two months ago with partial relief and was due to see the specialist last month but the appointment was cancelled I am now seeing them in a week, 15/6 or 6/15 as u would say, and believe from his previous comments that he will offer me the surgery. He has told me that he has done a good few of these surgeries over the years with good results and is confident it will help.
So wish me luck. I just hope it isn't too long a wait as I would like to not have to waste another summer unable to go for a simple walk or to play with my kids.
Thanks again for your reply and hope u are still well.

Cheers
Gaz

Hi there i am 22 female from the midlands and have been suffering for the past ten years. I am under the Royal orthp hospital in northfield. My consultants name is Mr Mcbryde. He is very good. I have had to have two operations for M.P and still suffering!! after my second op i got 95% better but now its just getting worse. They say weight had something to do with it, im 6'1 and big boned but my condition has flarred up when i was 12 years old and very active. I cant seem to lose weight as i cant excersise at all. My condition had gone past medicine and injections. You should try a TENS machine and ask to be transf to an orthopeadics.
hope i have helped
Jayda
