I used to post on this message board, and just decided to come back since I'm trying new therapies. I read a post by you that your MP started after a surgery. This may be stuff you already know, but have you looked into active release technique massage therapy? That is supposed to be good for getting nerves unentrapped. I may look into that if my muscle therapy isn't enough to help me get relief. Do you know if your MP was caused by scar tissue as a result of your surgery?

Also there is a therapy called hydrodissection. They inject fluid around the nerve, and this helps get it loose from nearby tissue that could be causing the entrapment. Google the phrase 'Entrapped Nerve Hydrodissection - Centeno Schultz Clinic'

I am wondering if you or anyone else here has tried the therapy you have suggested Hydrodisecction. If so, Id love to hear about your experiences. I believe my MP was caused by scar tissue from getting surgery on my femur head.

Hi HoneyBun,

Please see my response to your post on the thread regarding a support group for MP that was started by JackyP.

You stated: I believe my MP was caused by scar tissue from getting surgery on my femur head.

You may have damage or scar tissue from your prior surgery but it may involve nerves other than your LFCN, which is the nerve involved in MP.

In order to get proper treatment, you need to be sure you have the proper diagnosis.
