Default MP & Past Unrelated Surgery

Hello.. i had a past surgery near my worsening MP problem area, which is currently my entire left thigh area. So i have reason to believe that past surgery in that general area of current MP pain may have caused this condition or contributes to it now. So i see a neurologist for the first time soon for this worsening problem. Because of this past surgery near the MP area, i worry the diagnosis might be complicated... and treatment possibly very difficult! I've had this MP numbness and pain since approximately 2005. ...Much more of a problem for the last few months. Any observations and/or advice?

The diagnosis should not be complicated, just an MRI to rule out the spine and an ultrasound guided diagnostic injection of bupivicaine without steroid around the LFCN (MP nerve) to see if it gives you temporary relief . If its damaged, the only treatment likely to work is disconnecting the nerve (neurectomy)
