Confused Mitochondrial causes?

I hope someone is looking at this list.

I followed some of the links to information that are posted in one of the other threads. It seemed from what I was seeing that a Mitochondrial Disease can be caused by toxic molds. Am I understanding this correctly? Does anyone know how they can test for that?
