Please help
My Mother has developed a jerking but I don't know what the clinical term is. The best way to describe it is when she is eating or drinking, as she picks something up her arms relax and she drops whatever she Has in her hand. This affects her arms, legs, neck and abdomen. This comes and goes and when she is having an episode, her mental status goes way down. It is likeshe is running at half speed. The doctors don't seem to be concerned enough and are not aggressive enough to try and find out what is going on. She is taking neurontin and peridisone but nothing is helping. She can no longer live by herself or care for herself and I am the only caregiver for her. She is currently in a sub acute rehab but she can't there for ever. I am not capable of giving her 24 / 7 care because I have to work for a living and have an autistic son to care for. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this.
Thanks
Mart
