My jerking that started in 2005 later affected both legs, arms, neck and my spine.
The first medication to help with my jerking was KEPPRA! MIRACLE Medication. Extreme heat, cold, exercise or stress can trigger it for me. So stay out of the heat! In 2005 I had a test for seizures however that was negative. I became worse about 1.5 years ago they did another scan for Epilepsy and found that I have Epilepsy. I believe they call it PME Progressive Myoclonus Epilepsy. I am now on LAMICTAL for Epilepsy this has helped with the headaches and the jerking. My BEST ADVISE IS TO GET A COPY OF ALL OF YOUR MEDICAL TEST RECORDS that you have done! I still have problems with extreme fatique, I have tried B12 shots, etc. I did see in the Mayo clinic news that 1000 mg of American Ginseng can help with fatique in cancer patients. I tried it and it seemed to help a bit. STAY AWAY FROM PROVIGIL or any medication used for narcalepsy. My MD tried that. I used that medication for 1 day and my jerking was worse for about 4 days. My Neurologist said to stay away from those medications. |
