I have been diagnosed with focal dystonia of the abdomen and psoas muscles. I am in no pain, unlike others I've seen on these boards, but have great difficulty standing or walking. I used to run 5 miles a day but that is now out of the question. We are trying to treat with botox. The first round which was conservative had little effect. Has anyone with similar symptoms had botox shots and what was their effectivity? Should I be resigning myself to never being able to run again and just be satisfied if I can walk somewhat normally?
