Default painful flare and now sick!!!!

I just cant catch a break !!!!!

I finished the medrol pack by Saturday am. Symptoms still present but not as bad thru Monday. Still have a burning sensation in head and a little "foggy-headed".

Now I have a sore throat. The back of my throat and entire inside of my mouth seems very raw with red splotches. The tip of my tongue is burning and it hurts to swallow. My gums are swollen. I have some drainage and have a stuffy nose. ICK!!!!!! I feel like poop!

Is something going around?????

Umm...yeah...but I hope that you dont have anything like what's going around.

I've been waking up with sore throats (had IVSM in july) and I figured out it's from acid reflux that's being kicked up by the steroids. I kinda forgot to take anything for a few weeks after my steroid infusion for that, and now I've got funky stomach pains and acid coming up my throat making it sore.

any white patches on your tonsils or throat? sounds like you may have strep if so. Since you are on steroids, you need to be checked out.

I hope you feel better.

MM,
How are you feeling today?

Did you find out the cause of your red throat and burning? Do you have allergies? Or are you sick?

This time of year, and any weather change can cause problems. Did you go to your PCP or your Neurologist? I hope you are feeling better.

Weather changes always affect me negatively. I hope you're feeling better and that you didn't have strep. That's so painful!

please get to your dr or one of the clinics that have popped up if your insurance will cover it.

infections can make MS sx's worse and cause a pseudo flare.
keep any fever down. make sure to monitor that.

i hope you get well soon and feel better.

I hope you are feeling better.

Something is going around. Mine started as a head cold and is now in my chest. I have been sick for over a week. It started after I came back from camping. While camping my MS was misbehaving and then I came home and got this cold.

Me too MM.

After reading about your red blotches I went and looked at my sore throat with a torch. I don't have any spots, but I can see some icky stuff back there among the reddness.

I already have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, so if it's any worse when I get up in the morning, I guess I'll be in for another course od antibiotics.
