I've only taken one pyridium, and that was after things started to get colorful.

The Pyridium gives comfort to your bladder, and the anti-b's keep the UTI from traveling up to your kidneys. So take both as prescribed. It was just a thought I had Erin, about the color.

Did he say to drink plenty of water? That flushes out the bladder and rids the body of the germs as they die.

Are you feeling any better now? How is the stomach ache?

I fell asleep in my computer chair for a half hour. (keep waking up when I start snoring)

I feel a little bit better, now that things are calming down.

pyridium is a God send! When I have UTIs it is the only thing that allows me to keep my sanity. After 24 to 48 hours on the antibiotic your bladder spams should be better, and you should be able to cut back on the pyridium. You can actually buy some over the counter now.

Adding some Cranberry juice (not cocktail) to your diet will help provide some prevention in the future. Cranberry tends to make the bacteria slick, so they cant stick to the wall of the bladder, and slide out in the urine. Make sure to read the lable, many juices that say 100% juice are 50% grape or apple juice, and then add cranberry in as a flavor. Northfield, and others carry the 100% Cranberry juice. Just a small glass in the AM or Pm will help keep those suckers slick. If you cant do the juice, they sell it in pills. much less expensive to just buy the juice though.

I have the cranberry pills, they just tend to cause me acid reflux for some reason.

I did manage to find a little pyridium in my computer desk that I had from several years back. I hardly have ever had to take any pyridium when I've had other UTI's. This one was just bad enough that I was desperate for some.

Things are much better this morning. I was able to sleep last night, except for when my alarm woke me up at 5am to remind me to take the antibiotic. Had to crawl up the stairs to go find the crackers so I could have something in my stomach keeping the antibiotic company.

I am so sore this morning. Whole body hurts. I was awake for almost two days. I hate when that happens. Insomnia is bad, but it gets worse when I get sick or have an infection like a UTI.

Now I think I would probably kill to have a really good looking guy come give me a massage. All my muscles hurt now. (either that, or the spasticity fairy visited)

I was really bored yesterday...played Sims for a long time. The mom had like 3 kids. (I artificially aged the kids so they didnt have a bunch of screaming babies all at once...and made the oldest family oriented and liked kids, so she's doing most of the work)

I'm having the oldest child and the dad support the family by playing the guitar in the park for tips. Oh, and the mom and dad have both written books, so they're getting royalties from that.

I did make one of the middle kids insane and evil. (the dad is insane, but good) so it's fun watching the crazy evil kid trying to do all sorts of bad things. She steals candy from her baby sisters. She also hates the outdoors, so she never goes outside. When she does, she gets all nervous. I'm having fun torturing her by making her go fishing a lot. I think I'll get her started gardening.

I've been having her improve her logic skills by playing chess...only thing is, the chess board is outside. I'm so mean!
