For the past several months, my legs begin to feel as if they are vibrating when I go to bed. Now my whole body feels as it is shaking. This started a few weeks ago. I usually do not have a problem with it in the morning, but by late afternoon I feel like I am shaking/vibrating all over from the chest down. I do not have external tremors. Has anyone else had experience with this?

*tkrik raising her hand* I do! I can totally relate. My right leg has been doing that for a week now and so has my chest. But, I have a sinus infection that I am fighting so it doesn't surprise me or worry me that all these symptoms are going wacky on me.

I tend to get the vibration feeling in spots on my body (on and off - kind of like a pager going off). But I have had it all over like you are describing only for me, it was visible.

Hang in there Barb! It may be your body still trying to fight the cold. When did you start feeling bad? Did the vibrations start just shortly (within a week) before you got your 1st cold symptom? Just something to think about.

Yup! I normally keep my phone on me and it stays on vibrate I kept grabbing the phone and checking it every 5 minutes thinking it was going off. The vibrations did go away but they were replaced with the creepy crawly bugs under the skin feeling. Neurontin helps but it's still there especially after I stand for more than a few minutes or if I get hot, and every time I lay down whichever side is touching the bed starts going off, but it usually dies down after a few minutes.

The fun one with that is I made the mistake of putting a pizza in my lap to take home one night. We didn't make it out of the parking lot before I started going crazy. Lesson learned. No hot foods in the lap.

I used to have vibrations in my feet and hands whenever I looked down. It felt funny, did not hurt. Now my feet are numb as if they have fallen asleep and do not want to wake up, cannot wake up.

I had that off and on my first two years of diagnosis Barb. It hasn't happened in a long time though. Hopefully it will pass for you too.

Me too.
When it first started I would check on the chair that there wasn't a phone on it on vibrate.
I feel it in my groin and thighs and butt and always check for a phone despite knowing that I don't HAVE a phone on vibrate.
Without wanting to gross you out, before the first sensation, all was normal in the pleasure department.
Since it's started, it's been an indication of damage to the sensory areas of the never land I think. Bit by bit, the pleasure is turning to pain or numbness.
Very frustrating.

Thanks everyone! I guess my weird symptoms are not that unusual. Maybe the neurontin that I used to be on masked the sensation. I do think it has gotten worse since I have been sick (viral infection).

Any kind of infection will set off all kinds of weird sx. Since my sinus infection I've had all kinds of strange sensations. As it slowly gets better so do the sx. They slowly fade away. Hope you feel better soon, Barb!

I get these too barb...mine are like a constant chill but inside ya know?.
They come and go. Another one of those weird sensory symptoms.
