Putting my hand up here, but mine don't always wait until night time. :(

Mine is definitely peri-menopausal but I had thought I was through that. Oh well, apparently not.

When I mentioned the sweats to my doctor, she suggested Evening Primrose Oil which is a very effective herbal remedy for menopausal symptoms, and I must admit I've had marked relief since starting the capsules.

Do you take narcotic pain relief, because I was also led to believe that taking long term pain killers can sometimes lead to night sweats. mrsD should be able to tell you if that's true or not.

I seem to sweat more then usual. Had i.v. solumedrol 1g x 3 days 3? weeks ago for 1st time and probably last. I take minipress already since my bod cant control blood pressure for 3/4 of it (paraplegic from chest down). Minipress works good. 2mg 5x / day. Taking that for 20 yrs.

I do know that if mattress isnt super soft (memory foam topper) and if you dont turn/shift weight, you'll (I) will be soaked after a few hrs. Pressure.

I've heard that those memory foam mattresses make you sweat???

Sally, Its not that they make you sweat, although it may a little since you sink in it.. I know if I didnt use one (3"), id wake up soaked since I dont turn in bed on my own, and skin breakdown would eventually occur. The sweating is my bodys reaction for some reason saying turn or burn.
2" may be better. 3" is kind of hard on back if sleep on back.

I used one of those memory foam mattress' on vaca, and WOW! I was roasting hot all night long. My neighbors have one, and hate it. They say they are hot all night long. they do make ones that are "less warm" according to the lady in the store, but she still admits that most folks claim to be "overly warm" at night. I would never chose one again. I just replaced my mattress with a pillow top.

Since starting Copaxone, I am a night sweater! I hate it! I feel like someone cranked up the furnace. its really hard to sleep if you feel like you are 108 degrees. I have found lighter sheets, and a lighter night gown help, but still...whew!
