Default Copper

Iam new to this site so please forgive me if this thread has come up before I usually hang out in the Parkinsons forum but I am asking for a friend who has M.S.She has found she has high levels of copper in her blood. Also although she has had M.S for a considerable time she has started twitching in one hand which becomes worse when she grasps something. She says it is not like the usual M.S tremor. Apparently the doctor does not think she has Wilsons disease Has anyone any helpful information or experience of this

Hi ECD, I do not have tremors as a result of MS, but I donotice, especially if I am tired, that when I put pressure on a limb, it somestimes tremors. As soon as I relieve the pressure, the shaking stops.

I hope that more people come along to tell you more.

You are welcome here, anytime, ECDancer.

Hi EnglishCountryDancer,

Your friends twitching could be from tremors or possibly spasms which is part of spasticity. I have provided two links, one on tremors and one on spasticity.

Maybe your friend will be able to relate to one or the other.

I don't have any info on copper.
