The nanotech liposome absorption is greater than 2000%

The studies showed it was the highest, to date.

Bioperine in the enhanced form, is 3mg/capsule.

The epic4health Curcugel is the same BCM95 as the LEF product.
The LEF product is more money than the Curcugel 500mg. Same ingredients.
LEF:

Don't know how much it costs to join them and become a member however. If you are a member, they are both close.

Curcugel 500-- (100mg more 20%)
http://www.epic4health.com/cuul500mgena.html

The bottom line is that this is the best absorbed we have yet:

You can search curcumin on our Parkinson's board. There are many discussions about it.

Just keep in mind...it may not be safe to use Bioperine (piperine) if you take other drugs.

Thank you mrsD for all your thoughtful comments. I appreciate your help with this search. I've spent some time digging around on this and finally made a decision. We're getting Curcu-Gel Ultra 500 with free shipping!

I'm also looking at Bromelain. Notjust because of what it does with Curcumin, but also because of how it works with other things Kim is taking. Ken

Lightbulb Okay, Ken!

I am glad you decided! Say could you please tell me in PM or whatever, here, how it works for you? Any updates would be useful here for others, and myself.

Thanks. I will post more here. I have a lot of articles I looked at as I thought about this. I'd like to be able to assemble my thoughts. I will be slow at this. I'm an accountant and it's my busy time of the year. Ken

Just a quick note, I had e-mailed Longvida last week. Here's the Q&A:

Q: I am interested in this product. I would like to know if it contains Bromelain and if not how does Longvida Curcumin reach plasm 65x better than generic curcumin. Is there a price break if I buy multiple bottles? Thanks, Ken

A: We appreciate your interest in Longvida. There is no bromelain in the product. It does contain lecithin which aids in absorption of the curcumin. If you purchase 10 or more bottles, we can offer a 10% discount.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

I think the Longvida is a micro encapsulation of the curcumin in tiny beads (like nano technology). They probably coat the beads with the lecithin and if small enough these can cross the GI membrane into the blood.
This is from Wiki on how the product was developed:
Quote:
In July 2008, researchers from the aforementioned team in UCLA's Department of Neurology announced results on a form of "lipidated curcumin" that was noted to achieve more than 5 micromolar in the brain in vivo, 50 times that found in clinical studies.[32] Another method to increase the bioavailability of curcumin was filed in a patent in 2006[33] and involves a simple procedure creating a complex with soy phospholipids; the plasma concentration of curcumin using this method increased by 5-fold reaching 33.4 nanomolar in comparison to 6.5 nanomolar obtained with an equal molar quantity of unformulated curcumin administered as control.[34]
from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curcumin
Naturally they have a patent on it and are not going to reveal in emails exactly how they accomplish the improved absorption.
I think the second patent in the quote is the Curcugel product.

Nano technology is the up and coming thing for drug delivery too..especially chemo, and other target organs etc.

Here is an example of liposomal curcumin, which uses similar ideas and is a liquid.

http://www.nanoliposomals.com/Liposomal_CURCUMIN.html

Liposomes are tiny... and suspended in a base. They use various liposomes now in cosmetics for the skin...most of the high end cosmetics have GLA or other fatty acids in liposome delivery.

I got my Curcu-Gel tablets today. They're gigantic! But I'm determined to take them. It's just one a day so that's manageable.

Yes, they are large....but not as big as my citrulline! gag...

Put them on the tongue, with the pointed end down...and they will go down easier. Across the tongue, with any large pill or capsule is very problematic!

They are slippery, and I've never had a problem with them!

Okay, today's "Day 1" of me taking this supplement. I'll try my best to remember to post an update maybe every 2 weeks (if you think that's often enough, Mrs. D. If you think more often is better let me know) to let ya'll know how it's working.

I do take Levothyroxine for my thyroid and Lisinopril for HBP. And LDN for the MS. And 2000 IU's of D3. I think that's all.
