i had that done too. i had a really hard time sleeping at all the 1st time because they wouldn't let me take my sleeping pill. the next time i took it and the test went better.

i tried very hard to use the mask etc but couldn't sleep with it.
i just use straight O2 at nite and it's ok.

I love my CPAP, it has made a world of difference. I was having apnea episodes of more than 18 times an hour stopping breathing. I now would never sleep without it.

Good luck, let us know how it goes.

Default Sleep studies CPAP and BiPAP

Hi,

I have done these sleep tests a few times already.
The 1st one to see if I needed a CPAP, and when it was decided that I did, a 2nd test to see if it worked. I have used it for about 2 years, but now with MS popping onto the scene, I have a hard time using it. So, tomorrow I go to do another sleep study test, to see if a BiPAP will help me better.

In the place that I have had it done, yes it is a room, usually with a TV, and a nightstand (for the equipment), it takes some time for them to attach all the wiring to your body, then you try to sleep. The only trouble is, the last time I did it, the room didn't have it's own bathroom, you had to literally leave and go "down the hall" to a public bathroom. I'm hoping this time, since they have remodeled, that each room has it's own bathroom. One blessing for me, is I don't feel the need to use the restroom, so it won't be a problem for me, in that respect.

So, you're not alone.

Take care and God bless
