I just came down with a cold. :mad: (craptastic!)

I dont think it's swine flu, because I dont feel like total crap, I just feel like I have a cold. (plus, I think if it were swine, I wouldnt be awake right now to write this post, I'd probably be in bed miserable, instead of sitting here eating cold pizza and drinking warm diet coke) As far as I can tell, I dont have a fever either.

I think I got this from my dad. He caught a cold over the weekend...he had another virus (made him queasy and unsteady, and caused other problems that I wont go into.) I had that same virus over the weekend, so I guess I'm just a few days behind him on catching the cold. I think his cold is getting better, so hopefully that means I wont feel too bad in 3 or 4 days.

I could kind of feel this cold come on a bit this afternoon.

I'm not happy, I'm snorting snot, starting to get a mild cough, and the mild cough and the occasional sneeze are not helping my neck any... urg!

I havent had a cold for over a year....maybe two. I've had food poisoning a few times, but havent had a cold in quite awhile. Other than that other virus the other day, which actually might be part of this cold, and the stupid MS, I havent been sick for a couple of years.

Oh well...at least it hasnt affected my appetite (yet). I've got more cold pizza in the refrigerator upstairs that I want to eat. (I may go get another piece...starving!)

Good thing we stocked up on 7-Up when my dad started feeling sneezy. I'm not going out for a couple of days.

I better go round up the Kleenex and Tylenol and go get comfy on my bed with some dvd's. I wonder where my dad put the Mucinex??

Hope that I'm right and it's just a cold.

I guess I wont be getting that H1N1 shot on saturday. Not if I'm all sneezy. (the others in the line would probably stone me or throw rotten veggies at me in fear that I've got the "plague".)

I feel really really really horrible this morning. And I've only gotten about an hour and a half of sleep.

Woke up coughing, feeling like I did when I almost drowned at World's of Fun. (swallowed and inhaled a bunch of water then)

I have a box of Tamiflu, but I'm waiting the 10 minutes before my doctor's office opens so that I can call them and ask what the symptoms of swine flu are...or if anyone really knows what it feels like, because I'm quickly feeling like crap.

Maybe the reason my dad has been feeling ok during his cold is because he got a H1N1 vaccination a few weeks ago and he's probably being protected by that.

crap...and I'd just changed my mind and was going to get the vaccine this weekend.

I hope this isnt swine flu, but this cold sure feels like it's going nasty fast.

and of course my doctor is off today...
 

Waiting for the PA to call me back about some Tamiflu. I just dont want to start taking it if it's not the flu and waste the package that I do have. (old package, expires in April 2010) Which is why I called to ask if I should take it or not, or if I need to go see the PA and find out if it is the flu.


I hope this is just a cold. I hate being sick. But, I really dont want to have the flu.

It's not swine... Yaaaaaay! and Whew!!! :)

I have no fever, no headache, and no sore throat...and I'm able to get up and walk around without feeling like death warmed over. Said if I had swine flu, I sure wouldnt be up walking around or sitting around posting on forums on my computer.


They told me to sleep sitting up if I can (got my trusty wedge pillow) and to drink tons of water and to go to sleep if I can. (I'm in Insomnia Hell right now) I was coughing so badly earlier because I was laying down flat...plus, I forgot to take my Prilosec and the ever-not-so-fun acid reflux was making itself known.

I actually felt better when I went upstairs to get some 7-Up and say hi to my mom. I'm just tired from not sleeping and coughing a bunch earlier. (cough if I lay down, but not when I'm standing or sitting)

I told my mom that if the cleaning lady is uncomfortable cleaning our house while I have a cold, that it's ok with me if we wait another week...but if she just doesnt want to come downstairs, I can get by with a dirty toilet a little longer. (or, I can clean it myself later if I feel like it)

I'm staying in my room for the rest of the day and am going to stay away from the cleaning lady so she doesnt blame me if she catches a cold.

I'm just glad the PA at the doctor's office said it's just a cold. I havent had one for a couple of years and forgot just how much I hate having colds. Also forgot what a cold felt like.

Naptime! I hope the cleaning lady doesnt make too much noise when she gets here in an hour...I want more than an hour of sleep.
