Unhappy Emergency sigmoidoscopy
Have an emergency sigmoidscopy scheduled for tomorrow morning. If they find something, they will then go ahead and do a full colonoscopy. Just took four dulcolax and begin drinking preparation at 6:00. Exam was painful so I am sure tonight and tomorrow is going to be painful too. They could not feel any hemorrhoids. I am going to try to talk him into just knocking me out as they ordinarily do not give you anything for the sigmoidscopy. At this point, I am more stressed out about the pain than the results. Please say a quick prayer for me.

I'm so sorry you're going through all this. I'm sure they'll give you something if you ask them. No sense in being uncomfortable if it can be avoided.

Please keep us updated on your tests. I hope it's an easy fix and they can have you feeling better soon.
