Default Endoscopy/Colonoscopy on Tues. Guess what Monday is for?

OMG tomorrow is my "prep" day. Who thinks up these torturous routines?

I will admit its better than it was even 2 years ago when the DH had his done. You used to drink that liquid stuff that left an after taste for a year. Yick, that stuff was nasty! Now they give you dulcolax in the AM and then at noon, you take miralax every 1/2 hour until the 2 week bottle is gone. 14 doses! This should be fun!

My tummy is so tender, so upset, so nauseous, and so unhappy that I cant even imagine how far over the edge this will take me.

So, as you are going about your Monday, say a lil prayer that I havent balled up into a corner sucking my thumb and crying. I am so nervous!

I am hoping to avoid that big surgery where they want to take out 3 to 4 feet of my intestine. I asked the GI guy to go look, and see what shape everything is in. I hope I can avoid surgery, or at least get some answers.

well, Monday is here! I dont mind Tuesday, as I am getting good drugs, and will be asleep for the thing. The endo I will be awake for, but its just a gagging festival. Even with numb spray, I gag. Then they will blissfully knock my fanny into la la land.

its today that has my nerves on end. I have taken my dulcolax tabs, and will start on the miralax soon. My tummy is already bloated, swollen and tender. This should make me cry. I am not looking forward to drinking this stuff, but am looking forward to hearing some answers. I have given my DH a list of questions to ask the MD when its all done. I hope I will be too dopey to care.

Thanks for the hugs and prayers, they really do mean alot.

May you be too dopey to care, as you said, but may it all give you the best possible answers.

Aw Dej,

I hate that stuff too. I hope your tests will turn out ok and no surgery will be necessary.
