I really, really, really want this to be for real. I am waiting with baited breath to find out. I have questions tho. if its plumbing, why is it that more folks who live above the mason dixon line get this? Why more women than men? If this increased pressure forced iron out past the blood brain barrier, why is the BBB not showing signs of damage, or bulging from the increased pressure? or at least thickening?

I really want this to work, but I remain skeptical.

I think your "wait and see" attitude is a healthy one. There's nothing worse than getting prematurely elated and then having a nasty crash to reality.

Fingers crossed.

Not sure if it's a chicken/egg thing...does bad plumbing cause lesions, or do lesions cause bad plumbing? Even Zamboni doesn't seem sure. and his wife is STILL on DMDs...

Unfortunately this is what my MS specialist pointed out to me. He seemed to think it is likely that MS causes the problems and then said that since the body can compensate for this he's not even sure getting them fixed is enough of a benefit to outweigh the risks. But he also added that it is something to watch.

I think it's smart for him to have his wife taking the 'best' course of medications known to have a % chance of working along with his discovery and treatment already having been done on his wife. It shows that even he's down to earth/grounded enough to know that it will take years before his work shows true benefit, if any. He's taking the necessary precautions for his loved one.
