Default Back from neuro with great news.

I am stable according to my neuro. He showed me the MRI I had in September along side one I had about 7 years ago and they are about the same. My walk time is the same and my bloodwork was fine. He said my MS is nice and boring. Never thought I'd be so happy to be called boring!!! I knew I was stable since I haven't had any major problems but it was nice to hear it from him. I told him my fatigue is better so I don't have to go back to see him for another year. I mentioned the cramping in my feet and he wasn't too concerned and suggested doing stretches.

He told me this summer there will be some oral medications that will supress the immune system. He said they are stronger than the Avonex I am on, strong like Tysabri, and have side effects. He said he wouldn't encourage me to change meds since I am stable -- and I agree 100% -- why rock the boat? He said a few years down the road the new meds strength may be altered by changing doses and at that time we could discuss it more. I'm fine with sticking with Avonex and know I'm very lucky to be doing as well as I am with this horrible disease.

That is great news. Celebrate. Chocolate is good. Yummy!

I have been stable too. I recently had a Brain and C-spine done. Even with the relapse it did not alter my MRI. A little more Arthritis stuff going on in the C-spine, but we age after 21 years old so it is expected at my age.

I'm so happy to hear you are doing well and the treatment is working for you. Do they still call it Benign MS? Boring sounds good too.

Lady so glad you're stable too. I wish all PWMS could be this way - that would be so great. I wonder too if they still use the term benign MS.
