The last day I was symptom free was a day in 2008. Can't remember which month or exact day, but can definitely remember it because I was ecstatic. It was only one day, but it was a good one.

I don't think i have ever had a day in 3 years without some kind of symptoms. But lately the pain in my legs and feet are so bad. Plus my balance and loss of words is so bad. I am on Lyrica and Baclofen and the Lyrica does help with the nerve pain in my legs a little and the baclofen helps with muscle spasms. but i wake up in the morning and it takes me at least 10 minutes to get going. I have fallen a couple of times this month and got a black eye and a bruised forehead.

Hang in there i really think it is all about getting on the medication and lots of rest. with everyday life demands it is hard to take naps or just rest but you need it.

Ouch! Please be careful, Calligirl! I haven't fallen.......yet. I know it's coming, though. I tend to do okay at home. I know the terrain and I go very slow.

With this current bout of ON in my right eye (left eye cleared up just in time for right eye to act up) my peripheral vision is terrible.

I can't remember the last time I was sx free. I guess it was back in the Summer of 2005....right before I was dx.

If I stay put and do very little, I can have a day that is almost symptom free as long as I'm rested and don't do anything for too long at a stretch.

My eyesight is always below par, no matter what, and ditto my hearing, but some of this is due to aging.

While staying put, I have to keep the temperature bearable. That means wearing appropriate clothes and watching the thermostat, opening windows as needed.

I fall a lot, and falls tend to happen when I've been overdoing.

Believe it or not I think is a hard question to answer.

I can do almost everything around the house but I use easy ways to do things. If I mop the floor I sit on a small computer chair and move it around. I can't bend and keeping mopping. If I do I get fatigued from overheating.

So fatigue is there right under the surface just waiting to rear its ugly head. I have the HUG most of the time.

I need time in the morning to get all the body parts moving, so I walk from window to window and then sit, then do this again. Lots of coffee.

I am very stiff in my C-spine from lots of disc-narrowing, some spurs, and a few spasms from sleeping like the dead in one place. So some Arthritis is there. Once I get moving I am good to go.

Some hearing loss, and a new dx of dry eyes, and the awful foot and leg burning periodically at night and in the day.

My numbness and tingling is gone. Tremors under control with Clonazepam. I haven't had a balance problem or other pain since LDN. But I do have to hold on in the shower to the bar or when I close my eyes to shampoo I would fall over. I need light and my eyes open for balance.

In a dark room I have to hold on to a wall or fall over. I light the room before entering. I did fall in the bedroom when it was dark but luckily I landed on the bed. I did stub my toe on the bed leg and had some choice words with myself. Ouch!

The electric shocks are gone, the itch is down to almost nothing. When really tired and overdoing things I can bounce off the walls until I nap. Then I am good to go again.

I can't do the big family dinners anymore, too much work and exhausting. My B & B plumbing is fine. I have been known to have a problem with spelling and word retrieval, so I use another word to replace it. My handwriting is the pits, but it never was anything special.

Cold weather and hot and humid weather bother me. If I go out one day, I stay in the next to re-coup. I can go to one or two stores and that's it. No more malls for me. That is like running a marathon for me. Too much walking.

I couldn't say when I was symptom free, so I wrote what I still have. I am sure there is more, but I can't think of them right now. Cog-fog? Lol

I still can't complain at all, unless I relapse then all my current symptoms and some old ones worsen and try to slip in with the rest. I am better now than I was two years ago, TG.

Lady, I know what you mean about dark rooms. I have a night light for every room and make sure the night lights are turned on every night.

I can't do showers very well because of having to close my eyes. It's the same problem you have--I lose my balance.

Without my glasses I can't see much at all, and it's hard to wear glasses in the shower though I've done it. They get all wet of course!

I need to be able to see in case I drop the soap.

It looks as if some of us are stuck with some symptoms ...

After retyping a reply 3X (being dissatisfied with each) I have decided to answer in a simple NO. Not one day! Good Luck!

I should copy this thread really... give it to some neuros I have met in past, I am undx as many here know... but PT , and ENT have said I present like a MS patient...

anyhow I have had at least two if not three neuros say, that since I have a running list of sxs on daily basis, or even every so many days... that it is NOT the pattern of MS to have sxs daily or even once in while... that it only flares and hits hard then sx free.... lmao!!

so whatever I have, my answer is a NO to, each day is not a big struggle... but each day has some sign of sx...

hugss all and happy easter, sarah

Don't you just love it when doctors tell you about the "pattern of MS". If I've learned anything it's that we each have our own personal pattern. None of us present the same way. And we all have MS!!

I agree with, Kelly, Sarah. I'll bet if it was them having these SX, they'd come up with a damn pattern..
