tramadol is a non-narcotic pain reliever. so you won't get addicted.
however, i would discuss this with your dr. one, so you can update him on your condition, and two, so you can get a fresh Rx.

meds that are out of date can be less effective in potency.

i hope you will be feeling better. and, with trying to control pain...
it's better to stay on top of it than to chase it. that means that it's best to take the med say at 6 hrs and control the pain; then to wait 12hrs when you're really hurting and chase it.
