Me too Kelly :(. I have severe pain in my hips from my gait. The neuro prescribes some heavy pain killers that I take when I really need them. I've tried Aleve, ibuprofen, Tylenol, etc. etc. and they don't help at all. I've even had the giant needle full of cortisone injected into my hip joints...twice! Didn't help a bit. I hope ya feel better!

I have thigh muscle pain. When that starts cropping up, I do yoga, and stretches, and walk and do things to help those muscles let go. If it goes on too long, my back is going to be unhappy, and I have to deal with it then. Try to catch it while its young.
I hope you feel better. |
My leg pains are caused by a lot of stuff.
I have two knees that predict extreme barometer changes because of accidents I've been in. Spasms, spasticity, etc. don't help my legs too much either. My hips and lower back are definitely in pain due to my gait issues. The worse my walking is, the worse that pain gets. Hope this calms down for you soon. :grouphug::grouphug: |
I have been given stretching exercises to do for my achilles and my calf muscles, as well as my hamstrings . . . but they make my legs and feet hurt worse! And yes, my low back hurts after about 1/2 hour on my feet. I think it is because my feet are so painful when I walk that my gait has changed to accommodate that.

I'm sorry that so many people can relate to this problem. I hope you all find some relief. I'll discuss it with my Neuro in August. I've tried taking a couple of Baclofen but they don't really help. The pain in my knee area isn't like a spasticity pain.....it feels more like arthritis or bursitis pain.
Who knew getting old could be so much fun!? (btw.....I'll be 50 on my next b-day ). |
