Default Great...now half my face is numb.

Ok, this is starting to tick me off.

First in late April I had numbness from the chest down, and problems moving my right leg, and some pretty impressive and extremely painful spasticity in those same areas. Had steroids in early May, things got better.

Late May, suddenly had numbness in my entire left arm and in my right hand and wrist. (and the numbness on my left side also went over to my chest in areas that werent affected in the April flare, and that numbness went up into my left ear and I had some pretty bad neurological itching on my left ear and the left side of my neck earlier this month) I was having problems moving my left shoulder. That's starting to go away some, and I'm doing physical therapy for both my left shoulder and my right leg.

Now, today I've been feeling numbness on the right side of my neck, and feeling it creep up the side of my face. (it's hot out today)

A little while ago, while drinking some pop out of a bottle, I noticed that the upper part of my lip on the right side was numb. When I realized that, I noticed that my right cheek and my right eyelid is numb. (eyelid feels really weird when I wipe my eye). Oh, my right ear is numb.

I was eating some m&m's earlier and noticed that on the left side of my upper jaw, my teeth and gums feel numb. Not as numb as it would get when a dentist gives you novocaine, but similar.

So, I've gotten new symptoms about a month apart from each other for the past 3 or 4 months.

This is getting irritating.

I guess I wont be eating any really hot foods for awhile. ~grumble~

please tell me that this getting new symptoms nearly every month will stop soon. It's getting old.

I'm in the same boat. Lately under my chin/neck area doesn't feel much when I shave. My left hand was good hand for past 3 years and now the pinky is losing it. Right hand no longer can tell the diff of remote control buttons. It all started in 2006 with the right side of my face numb one morning. MS followed.

I don't know what to suggest. IVSM? When I skip my daily dose of Lysine 2000mg & Fish Oil 3000mg, I think I lose more feeling. Lysine is one of the 4 aminos that Copaxone consists of. You can actually buy all 4 in regular health food store. Try it?

I just noticed that I said it was the left side of my face (where I'm talking about eating m&m's). I think the MS is making me dyslexic or something, I apparently cant tell my right from my left anymore.

It's the right side of my face, not my left.

Anyone else have problems telling their left from their right? I swear I'm doing that more and more lately.

My hair also feels weird. I feel like I cant get my hair clean anymore, or like the shampoo doesnt work any more. I guess my head is going numb and making things feel weird.

It doesnt help that my fingertips in both hands are numb and my left arm/shoulder is still weird from the flares I've had this year and it hurts to lift it up to wash my hair. At least the physical therapy is helping that.

I'm going to the gym tomorrow to do some homework on the physical therapy on the machines there. Taking my dad with me so that he can help me set the weights correctly (and to keep the die-hard gymnuts from getting mad at me for using "their" machines...I had some guy go off on me the last time I went there last month to try to do some exercises. I have a paid membership, I should be able to use it without getting harassed by the steroidheads)
