Awww! That's sweet, Bill. Kelly is an "A+" person. (That may not have been what your really meant but I thought that was cute.)

Well, Kelly, how's it going with Medicare? Have you heard anything? Are you getting anywhere with them?

I finally got a response in the mail. They sent me a form to fill out if I was retiring and not getting medical benefits.   Not exactly what I need but at least it's a start.

Luckily, there was a local number for the county office here so I called them. Of course, I had to leave a message.......I hope they'll call me back soon. :)

Some of those forms are just crazy! They aren't geared towards those on Medicare due to a disability.

Wishing you luck!

I finally got a phone call back from SS today. I now have to wait on another form to be sent to me (the right form this time) and once they receive it back and get me into the system for Part B I will get a card.

Who knows why I wasn't signed up for it originally. The lady who called me back answered a couple of my questions but said it's "ten till five and I have to get my computer logged off".......so that ended our call.

Sheesh, Kel...my neuro and I discussed my being rejected for SSDI...he said that 80% are the first time...that the people who decide punch a clock and by the end of the day, if they have a bunch of folders that have to be processed, they get out their denial stamp and finish that way.
He knows a judge that adjudicates phase 3 of the process...that's when he says you get real attention.
Your story kind of confirms what he told me...nice work, government:mad:
