Ana told me today she is starting to actually tolerate the pain in her back already. I am hopeful that she'll feel better soon.

Twink, sorry, I ate them all. lol

Ana, see Debbie D up above? That's our Debbie helping get SB1381 passed!

Ana, What kind of pain were you having in your back and was it caused by the ms. The reason I ask is that my back has been hurting terribly clear across the lower part of my ribcage. I can't hardly keep myself in an upright position when I'm trying to stand or walk.

I hope you are continuing to feel better.

I know Ana was in the hospital the other night and they said her gallbladder was acting up. They sent her home with pain meds. But I think the back pain, although sometimes can be connected to the gallbladder, is still her ms according to the docs? I am sure she'll be back to let us know.

Thanks again everyone!

Sandy- Thanks for keeping them posted for me! :)

Friend2u- I am experiencing tightness/stiffness in the middle of my back, like the muscles around my spinal cord, from top to bottom of back, both sides, then on the right side there is a muscle that i have really painful spasms in. I find myself in the same boat as you, constantly leaning all the way back in my chair, it feels like my muscles are too tired to support my whole body. MS just sucks. period. lol

But thanks again for all of your support I love you guys!!!! :grouphug::hug::grouphug:

Ana,
Are you on any muscle relaxants? the NMSS has a stretching instructional page on it's site. It really helps lessen the tightness for me (when I remember to do them LOL).
Hope you feel better soon:hug:

Thanks Debbie!

I am not on any muscle relaxants at this time but the neuro said to call back in a week after Prednisone if I am still experiencing the tightness/stiffness/spasms and he would write a script for the muscle relaxers. I didn't want to have to do that but it's just getting out of hand, all I want to do is just lay to relax by back muscles.

and thank you for your efforts here in IL! Sandy told me you're helping to get that bill passed with us! Thanks!!!!

Yeah, I took a packet of postcards and my DH has had half of them passed out and sent to our Rep...I need to call the Rep to meet up with him...my brain's been such swiss cheese the last few weeks that even when I make notes to myself about calling, I lose the note:rolleyes::p

Hey you guys, we met with Tom Cross yesterday. I updated on the Springfield thread. It went well, we think!

That is awesome! Thank you both ladies!!! I had just typed up an email and sent to a local talk radio in town WMAY the talk show host guy was very interested in the information I had on the matter so hopefully we can do an 'educate the public' segment lol!
