Default A different type of WALKER

For the past couple of years, I've been designing a new kind of walker for anyone who is between a walker and a wheelchair. I've seen the problem of freezing and experienced it myself when using existing walkers.

It's still only a prototype, but it works. I'm having another one built right now that's simpler in design, easier to open up, lighter and have more room inside. It's an on going project.

It couldn't hurt.

What do you think?

Super neat, Max. Not for me, but so many younger, more agile people will love it.

Good Wishes..

Excellent Max,
I hope that your idea becomes a reality soon, as it is a useful walker/bike for so many people with many different kinds of disabilities.

Lots of luck with your different kind of walker.

You look great using your invention! Good job on the video, too.

Do you ever take the kitty for a ride?

Max!
I went to PT and said I wanted to walk. They put me behind a walker with raised grips but yours would work a hundred times better. They had a sling above a tread mill but yours looks much more efficient than theirs. I want one. Maybe it would help me. I know I'll need help from DH in the beginning and take small steps toward my goal of using it alone but I love it.
I so want one. I know my health insurer would never help but luckily I think I could swing it myself. Max, I think I could walk or at least get up once in awhile.

Very intriguing. It doesn't seem to require balance to use it since you are sitting down. Looks like you are able to move fairly quickly.

Default Prototype walker

Kicker, I'm so sorry, but this walker is my prototype. It's not in production. I'm hoping with enough interest, a manufacturer of existing walkers will be interested in producing a walker like this.
One step at a time.

EnJoy life always,
Max

That is a great prototype and it can be used for a huge variety of disabilities. I would be interested in purchasing one when it gets on the market.

Best of luck. The portable nature makes it very attractive.
