Confused Other meds/herbals which interfer with LP?

Good thing I looked this up, as I take a natural vitamin which included Ginko Biloba. Ginko is a natural anticoagulant.

I was only told NOT to take aspirin & any other meds that are anti-coagulants. My doctor's office did not inquire as to the content of my daily vitamins.

Does anyone know if there are other herbals I should avoid? LP is very early Tuesday morning.

Thanks!

I know that everyone says to tell all of your health care providers all of your medicines you take whether they are OTC, vitamins, herbal or what. But when I try to do that they don't listen to anything except the prescription

Ginger and Vit E also affect clotting to some extent. Fish oil too, is typically avoided because of bleeding risk.

One drug often not thought of, are the SSRI family. Prozac, and all the rest of them.

There are many herbal products with cautions. I'd stop everything herbal...just to be safe.

So far, all the docs here have asked for both; whether they understand it, though, seems to be what's in question.

Yes, that's what I've done. Thank you for responding.
