The neuro symptoms sound similar--the burning
numb feet, etc. I am not sure where one disease leaves off and the other begins, and
I realize that Porphyria (which is toxic) may have produced my brain scars of MS....but
that's getting more complex than even the neuros can manage.
I developed Crohn's in 2002 after my colon was removed. I have a j-pouch (no ostomy) and have spasms and strictures at the anastamosis, fissures, and adhesions inside which cause partial blockages. Most oral meds mess with either the function or the flora of the pouch, leading to inflammation similar to colitis. I do all I can to keep my pouch healthy, as my surgeon is not thrilled with the idea of me ever having to have another ileostomy, so I veto any meds that mess with my pouch!
