I tried it, made me dizzy and sick and I would have had to build up to a gigantic amount, for it to do any good. I'd rather have an Aleve or Bayer, once in awhile than be zombi on Neurontin and Baclofin.

I agree with SallyC based on my own experience with Neurontin/neuralgia. It did nothing and the withdrawal was fierce.

I would love to come off of all these medicines, but being able to function is important and so far I have not found any other way to do that. So Neurontin does suck, but it does help with at least one pain for me. If you need medicine and can't tolerate the pain you're in, talk to your doctor. But if the Neurontin doesn't work ask your doctor to find something else for you to try. I hope you find something that helps! |

I'm glad you've found relief with the combination of medications, I too had a headache that never ceased for at least 2 years. I can understand how awful it is to live through that.

Well, thanks for all that! Guess I'll listen to my original instincts and not ask for neurontin. I'm already dizzy, don't need to be more so. Never thought to just take tylenol, but I'll give it a try!

Lyrica also made me sick quickly. I had some when I had Shingles neuropathy for a few
months, but one pill was all I ever took. I went back to Demerol until the neuropathy became better. Right now I am suffering very bad foot pain and it may be neuropathy (certainly is) brought about by vascular problems due to the thick blood of Polycythemia Vera. It is worse after I take a shot of Interferon A, so I will have to stop that. Maybe taking the timed released form could be better. So I am posting just to warn that Lyrica could be as unpleasant as Neurontin for some people, although I see here that some do well with it. I must say it 100 % eliminated the neuropathy! But it made it difficult for me to breathe. |

I am experiencing terrible pain in my legs from increased spasticity due to the cold. Cold or hot, I can't win
