Part of MS, part of me being in a victim mode...I try to do the mental work to not feel defensive or picked on, but sometimes it just won't fly...
Hope you know we love ya...:grouphug:

new name

I guess I would be mad in your shoes too. It seems nobody calls you what you want to be called. Call yourself a human, God doesn't care what your name is, he knows you just the same. Your friends know you and your name too. Get rid of the toxic people, as I am trying to do in my own life. It does all get to be too much at times. Don't let the name get you down, those who truely care about you will understand your sensitivity. They are the ones who are worth your time and consideration, not the ones who continue to be mean. :hug:ginnie

I just posted a little about this on another thread. I'm extremely sensitive lately. We're moving and our present landlord won't allow us to have appointment only showing of the house. Real estate agents call me all day long wanting to show the house.

I'm freaking out all day, worried about keeping everything clean. Worried that one of my cats will get outside when these inconsiderate agents and perspective tenants walk around leaving all of the doors open :(.

I seem to cry much, much more when I'm stressed. I get offended sooo easily by the slightest thing.

Everything is worse when I'm stressed. Then I get more stressed because things are worse. It's a vicious cycle. I'm very short tempered with everyone right now.

You are definitely not alone :hug:.

Joelle, I wouldn't make the house available except when it was convenient for me. And if you have to use your MS as as excuse.....use it! We have to put up with this stupid disease....we should use it whenever we need a good excuse.

When an agent calls I'd tell them the days of the week and the hours of the day it will be available and let them work around you. All other times I'd turn the phone off! ;)

I agree! that is harrassment and you cannot be expected to open the door at all hours. Tell the agents that you will allow them with 24 hour notice, and will be happy to be accomodating, but they simply cant show up and knock on the door. I understand the current owner wants to sell his place, but maybe explaining to him with some warning, you can have the place cleaner, and animals under control instead of having to shove things into corners and be freaking out.

Jack the cat is now inside the bag that the big paper towels came in. Some how he thinks those things are magic. IM just happy he is happy.

Anyone else ever feel that way during a flare? I feel like comments made by others hurt more quickly and I am quick to defend myself in situations that dont really require a defense.

The whole world is picking on me! :( Am I alone when this happens?

Hi my name is Carol and yes I have the same thing. I don't even have to be having a flair up to be like this. There is an emotional disorder that some ms patients have, like me. I can't remember what it is called. Nothing has helped me not antidepressents or anything. I want help with this also. I always get very defensive and then cry afterwards knowing that I shouldn't have but I can't control it. It sucks! I need more information on this also. But you are not alone. get in touch with me anytime and we can talk about it. Carol

I really wish I had the option of turning away these idiots but according to my lease and manlier/tenant law, I don’t :(. The owner has the right to put a lock box on the house (which they have done) and give me reasonable notice (12 hours) then they can just open the door to my home without my permission. It's very, very stressful to say the least.

I'm gonna start my own thread about this because I don’t wanna be a hijacker :).

It's time for a BIG inside dog! :D

so they do have to give 12 hours notice? that is at least better than someone barging in without warning. I hope the home sells quickly so the parade will end.
