Default Had my first physical therapy

They didnt make me do much, but geeze, I feel like crap now. They were nice, and it actually felt kind of good to move things around. There is definitely something screwy with my right leg. I could barely do the exercises with the right leg. They had me do them with the left leg, and I breezed right thru those, to the point where the girl helping me said that there was nothing wrong with the left leg that she could see.

They told me that using an exercise bike is a great exercise, but only for about 4 or 5 minutes if I can. She didnt want me doing so much that I end up falling down in front of all the cute guys at the gym. (we both thought then tho, that might not be such a bad thing, if I can get a few cute guys to help me up)

I dont know if my antibiotics are working on the UTI now. Still feel similar to what I did when I started them. Hope I dont have to go back for another Rx.

At least I got physical therapy started. (probably should have started that right after Xmas when I had that flare just before Xmas)

Did they remind you to drink a lot more fluids afterward to help flush out any bad stuff that might have gotten loosened up.

Especially if they did any massage, ultrasound, e stim etc.
those therapies will help get the internal fluids that might have been a bit stagnant moving along, so you need fresh fluids in to replace the old.

they didnt do any massage or estim. Just made me do a few exercises lifting my legs.

and yes, I've been sucking down water. Just went and had my dad get me some more from the garage refrigerator for me. Gonna see if I can finish a bottle over the next few hours.

I'm starting to think that either the antibiotics arent working, or they've given me a yeasty beastie. I am suddenly not feeling all that great, and I keep having to use the potty. Not sure if that's the abx working, or if it's all the water. Not getting much out of it tho. Which is kind of worrying me.

Think I'll go watch The Nanny (they're having a marathon this week) That'll take my mind off of this stuff. Hopefully.

Edit:

talked to the PA just now. She's the one that I despise! (when my hip went numb in April of 2006, she's the one I saw, and she told me it was a sprain and to put heat on it. She's also the one that when I had my MRI in August that same year during my first ON attack, she called and told me the MRI was fine, nothing wrong with me. Moron didnt read all three pages, and missed the conclusion on the back that said "possible demylineating disease". Eye doctor called me 10 minutes later and had to break it to me. He was ticked at her too)

anyways, back to talking to the moron PA. I told her that I dont think the antibiotic is working. I feel just like I did before I started it, and it's started to feel worse in the last hour or so. She gets really snotty with me. Said, "go to the ER, or wait till morning", and wasnt going to let me ask any questions. I had to get assertive to ask my question (whether I should be feeling improvement by now, or why was I feeling improvement yesterday, but not tonight)

I cant stand her. I think she's a <bad swear word>. I'm planning on complaining about her when I get to the doctor's office tomorrow morning.

My regular doctor is off tomorrow, so I have to see one of the other doctors. If they try to have me talking the nasty PA, I'm just going to ask for a nurse visit or if I can sneak in between a couple of other people's appointments with one of the doctors. I HATE that PA with a serious passion.

Either that, or I'm going to one of the hospital clinics that they have in the local grocery stores (run by the same people who run my doctor's office, they all part of the same network)

Oh yeah, new symptom just tonight. My left leg keeps jumping (back of the thigh) when I'm sitting down. That is so NOT cool. And my eyes are blurry.

Edit 2: I just had to ask my dad to stay home from work tomorrow to take me to the doctor. I think he's annoyed. Started talking about retiring. I told him to hold off on that. I'm hoping to be able to drive again soon.

I'm going to go dig thru my stash of drugs and see if I have any pyridium. (tylenol for the bladder basically...at least that's what they told me several years ago when I was told to buy some)
