Wisest Elder Ever

All day yesterday and now all day today.....I feel like I'm carrying around a hundred extra pounds. My legs feel like they're made out of cement. And all I want to do is lay on the couch. I hate fatigue. 'Cos nothing makes it better except rest....and time. I'm so thankful I don't work and don't have young children to care for anymore. Not sure how I'd handle that!

What time are you taking your LDN, Kell? I found that taking it too early or too late doesn't work for my fatigue, as well. Between midnight an 2AM works best for me.
I know we're all different but try to change your time a little and see if that helps. I also take my Prozac at the same time. My PCP suggested that, as he thinks they may work together. ![]() ![]()

I usually take it around 1 AM. If I don't and plan to take it when I wake up next (probably 3-4 AM) I usually forget!

One of the many things I hate about MS fatigue is its unpredictability. (Not that anything about MS is predictable) It can last three days or three hours. I can get up feeling "good" and hit the wall at 9 a.m. I can have a busy day and think the fatigue will be overwhelming the next day, and it won't. I can have a nice relaxing day, and the next day be barely able to function because of fatigue.
Hope it passes quickly for you, Kitty.

Sorry, Kitty. Hope your fatigue is fleeting.

Please don't take this the wrong way but you guys are actually pretty lucky. Why? Because of the way the fatigue strikes, how long it last, and you can actually (many times) do something about it.
With my disease I may be out of bed one hour or four hours and all of a sudden feel like I've been hit by a fully loaded dump truck. It's like a huge wave hits me, I lose all energy, endurance and stamina and become very weak unable to keep my eyes open or hold my head up. That's when I've learned to literally crash. It may last an hour or four hours if I'm lucky, but upon waking I am not refreshed but hung over and sore. Meds have no effect on my fatigue or exhaustion either for more energy or better sleep. I can drink two full 8 cup pots of coffee and still crash 20 minutes after finishing. My routine, like you guys, is no routine. I have no control over it at all. Sorry to ramble.
