Default Psych. Clearance needed for Embeda pain med?

Apparently after the doctor figured out that the morphine pills he prescribed really were working their way through my system too quickly...
He has decided to switch me to the once a day big girl pain meds.

I am a little nervous about these as I am with any new medication, especially one that could become a habit.

But... these new ones... require a psychiactric opiate clearance. My psychologist of course is not listed as one of the approved docs to do this. Fortunately, her associate (the only other doc in her office) is on the list. Waiting to hear back from them about scheduling. The idea that I need this evaluation is really troubling me, not because I am afraid of failing it, but the fact that it is required for this particular med.

Yes, I would love to be able to have one day, heck even a few hours without pain but I am scared of the possible effects. So I dunno.

Supposed to start new med Saturday, the pharmacy wont have it until Friday afternoon.

Wondering if anyone else is on this mad that can tell me how it effects you. Its called Embeda?

I find out tomorrow if I need surgery on my ankle/foot. I am so tired of my body failing me.

Oh, the radiology techs took me into the construction zone to show me the new Tesla 3 MRI machine that is being installed. Yes, I spend that much time in those machines that I have become a VIP and get the grand tour. LOL They even offered me the first scan in it when it is up and running, which I respectfully declined. I am a follower, not a leader when it comes to scary machinery.
