Frown Hello

I was diagnosed with MS last February. It took 3 yrs to be formally dx and my first symptom was optic neuritis. I then had problems with my reflexes after a visit with an orthropedic doctor did a routine exam. I have had over 20 Kris since then and also had an abnormal spinal tap. In April of this yr I had anterior lumbar fusion and by my MS doctors orders, I haven't worked since. I received my masters in secondary education the fall of 2011 and my teaching certificate in January 2012. I never was able to have my own classroom. I worked as a media buyer for a decade and finally gave it up to do something with meaning and purpose. Now my MS doctor suggested applying for disability due yo my memory loss. I see a pysch nurse every week and I am homebound. I can't drive fie to my worsening optic neuritis. I have an 8 yr old daughter and soon to be 20 yr old stepson. I have been marrie going on 9 yrs. We live with my parents and I am the primary cqregiver for my mother who has Alzheimer's. My father has prostrate cancer and glaucoma. My mother can be verbally and physically abusive and my child is very protective of me. I hats that she is in this position, but she has been my biggest supporter. She has seen me in and out of doctor's offices, emergency rooms, impatient hospital stays and home healthcare. I have many other ailments but have tried to be as productive as possible. I am very ambitious and never thought that would be waiting on permanent disability at 35...

kKKM96-

Good to meet you and welcome to NT. I wanted to comment on the neurontin. If it does not help the dose can be increased. The problem for some (many?) is that it makes it difficult to think and process. Not everyone has this problem.

Best to you,
ANN

Thank you. I have been on it for awhile and maybe my body has gotten used to the dose I am receiving now.
