Default My grandaughter is coming to town!!!!!!

My daughter is going to Chicago on a church trip next week so i get my oldest granddaughter. The youngest(13 weeks old) is to young for me to take care of since she is being breast fed!!!! I don't think I can take both of them anyway. Trinity is a good girl, loves to play house and dolls and draw. So we will have a good time. She is bringing kindergarten homework. We have a cat that seems to only like my husband and I so I hope she (the cat) behaves herself.

My daughter who is 4 1/2 loves her "grandma days". My mom loves to have her over to do crafts and read books together. Enjoy!

Tired but totally enjoying it! Yesterday we made Chocolate chip cookies and today we are taking them to the Great Grandmas. Poor thing. When I told her we were making them, she said she wanted to crack the eggs and stir and all that. Then I pulled the refrigerated premade roll I got at the grocery store. This Grandma did a short cut!

Her Mommy's birthday is next month so I helped her make a present for her. This afternoon we are gong to my Mom's apartment. Mom does scrap booking and card making. So Great Grandma is going to help her make a card. Then we will wrap the present, send it home in her suitacase with a note "do not open till your birthday"! Last year I did the same thng for Mother's day and then I sent it in the mail to her. co\lose to Mother's Day. But last year I tried to put to much of me in the gift. You know, make it as nice as an adult would make it. So this year it looks like a 5 year old made it.

We have a cat that is very territorial and she doesn't like anyone else in our home. She growls and hisses as Trinity all the time. Yesterday evening she was finally getting better. She will allow Trinity to at least play with her toy that's on a string. This morning she walked right by Trinity and didn't hiss. My goal is that by the time we leave Saturday morning, she will let Trinity pet her.

Well the week is over. We took her to meet her Mom in Louisville yesterday and I rested up today. We had a great time and she is finally opening up to her Grandpa now. One night we went to Hacienda for supper. She wanted to sit by him and they enjoyed each others company enough that when the waitress brought us our check she asked if I was on the same ticket as they were. She finally was able to ride the carousel by herself. It is amazing what half a year of kindergarten will do to a child's maturity.

When we got back home yesterday, the first thing I saw was her backpack! It had her brand new Fisher Price digital camera that I worked so hard to find for her, the birthday present she had made for her Mom and her homework. So now we can add another excuse to the long list of 'Why I can't turn in my homework." --- I left it at Grandma's house. My husband has vacation next week so we will go down there and deliver the homework. The cat has got back to normal now and is enjoying having her humans to herself.

When we met in Louisville, of course Mom had baby sister with her. She is 4 months old. She is so funny, all she has to do is look at her grandpa and she bursts out laughing. She loves men's voices, it just animates her. The whole reason we had Trinity for the week was so Mom could go to a Children's leadership conference in Chicago. Their church allowed and payed for a babysitter if you were nursing your baby. My daughter said that there were 8,000 people there and the two babies from their church. They had a lot of adoring fans!!!
