:( Just called in sick to church. I was on the iffy list but called my pastor a half hour or so ago when I realized that my stomach is not trustworthy this morning. Well, it's NEVER trustworthy, but this morning...well, you don't want details.

It's got to be the heat. I'm hoping the predicted upper-40's tonight will turn things around.

At least it takes my mind off my other problems!

This excessive heat/humidity is messing with my walking. My gait is all messed up and my left leg is dragging. I hate it when it does that. I'm sending DS to the grocery store for me to get a few things. Just the thought of getting dressed, going to the store, getting out, maneuvering my way around the store then getting home and having to put away everything seems impossible. Well, today it is.

feeling LOTS better today - the temperature is way DOWN ...and a cooling rain has helped!!

hope everyone feels better ... I know the heat can really do an 'extra' number on those of us with MS sx - drink LOTS of water ...there, that's my doctor's orders!;) .. and NO soda - otherwise, things get 'dehydrated' ... and life can get a bit unbearable!! (yep, speaking from experience!!) .. water, water, water!! :p

I feel sticky cause it's humid out this morning. While the heat always gets to me, I think the humidity gets to me too.

The humidity gets to me more than the heat, I think. Dry heat doesn't make me sticky. It's the moisture in the air that makes it so hard to breathe and hard to move.

well, I did it ..

I walked 2 miles .... and was hurting by the time I made it home - but a good hurt ...

taking it easy ... glad I did it ... not so humid today - which definitely HELPS!

it's a day of rest .. so, rest-away!! enjoy!! watch a good movie ... :D

Agree. I dread the humidity too. It also makes the eczema on my fingers flare up horribly (only in humid does my eczema come out).

I just feel weak and tired from this heat wave we're having.:thud:

I had a scare, when I awoke from my nap and was very warm. The A/C didn't seem to be working.:eek:.. I immediately called the serviceperson and he called me back. I told him about my MS and he said he could come out, but, because it's sunday, it would cost me.:eek:

While I was talking to him, the Air came backon, in answer to my prayer.:) I told the guy, I'd call tomorrow and set up a maintenence call. I think it must have been a brown-out and the air conditioner was only working about 1/4th power?

Anyway, thank you God!! I got a taste of how it would be for me without A/C and I didn't like it....was nearly helpless.:eek:

scary stuff Sal. I would simply have to go to the ER if I had no air. I am blind, nauseous, and feverish as it is, if you took my air, you might as well admit me.

I have been hydrating with plenty of water. (dont drink soda) and thinking about juicing. my tummy has been so wobbly lately that I figured I would be kind and give it prechewed nutrients.

I have double vision in my right eye today and fuzzy vision in my left. I am sure its a fever thing, but its freaky to have double vision in just one eye. normally if you cover one eye it stops, but not today!

We are going on vacation on Tuesday up to Stowe Vermont to the Ben and Jerry factory. The cabot cheese factor, and some other local oddities. We are bringing our bikes. This should be fun.

DS is having major trouble with this whacko girl, who is now so angry at him we are worried what she will do if left alone with him. He always has someone with him. She has been texting him stuff like "im afraid of you breaking into my room at night to try to kill me" and "I am afraid you will really hurt me like you did last time" WTH?? last time?? there was no last time. my child is a wet doormat! he wouldnt be able to hit a girl if his life depended on it. So we feel she is up to something, and either trying to bait him into a bad response, or make him look bad via text message for some odd reason. I told him to NOT respond. Not a single peep. Just nod in person and say "youre right" let her have her way every time. He is finding it harder and harder to be her doormat. So, August 5 cant come soon enough for all of us.

Learning a lot on this thread. Humidity is doing to me what it's doing to you. I feel awful...took pup for a walk yesterday & paid for it. And this headache...sounds like some of you are experiencing humidity caused headaches...maybe that's what's causing mine.

Hey, Debbie.....I have a headache, too! I call it the BP headache (barometric pressure). We're expecting rain today and tomorrow and my achy body is telling me it's true! :rolleyes:

MS is on the low today for the most part, but my headache was coming back noontime, so more nasty Tylenol with codeine (hate the stuff, but it works).

I'm pretty sure mine is caused from allergies...ugh, I hate headaches...have to find my favorite decongestant, which was all out at the one grocery store I stopped at...
I do feel a lot better now that the humidity level is down a lot today. I did have to lie down after taking MIL shopping tho...the stress of having her cry so much takes it's toll on my nerves and I get fatigued afterwards...

Feeling the headache today... ugh. Another weather change. I definitely slept well though.

Will be a rough 8 hours in the office looking at computer screens today (dreading!).

Pretty good today. I keep having these "staring spells" and I posted a thread called "Absence Seizures" about it. I think that's what I'm having. If not.........I'm just incredibly bored! :o :rolleyes:

The day started out mild and nice, so I felt wonderful. Now that it's hotter, we'll see how I fare...

Today was bad in the beginning.... We had thunderstorms during the time I was working. I felt REALLY nauseous when I first started working today. I frantically searched for anti-nausea medication, and couldn't find any in my bathroom drawers. Thankfully it passed though, but the incoming storm nearly did me in.

I'm OK, just sooooooooo sick of and with this oppressive and neverending heat wave. Yucky ugh, it seems to be almost coast to coast, with a few peeps getting a little relief.:hug:

It sure would be nice to open the windows and take a deep breath of nice fresh cool air, instead of coughing, sputtering, close to fainting and slamming them all shut again.:eek:

It is just unbearably hot here today. I got up early and went to the grocery store before it got scorching. The next ten days are supposed to be in the upper 90's. :eek: When will it end?????

I think this heat and humidity is giving me a headache. I've had a headache for a couple of days now. It's not really on top of my head but sort of behind my ears. :confused: That sounds really crazy and more like an earache but it's not. If I stay still and remain cool it goes away.

Rain chances go up tomorrow. At least that might cool things off momentarily. :rolleyes:

My outside thermometer reads 103 right now. :(

I feel fatigued today. I keep trying to push through and do things around the house but keep having to go lay down. :mad: This is the 2nd day that I have been like this.

But, on the brighter side - both DBF and DD19 and in slug mode today. They both want to just relax and watch TV and not do much else. I think it's the heat and humidity.

I feel juicy today. :cool:

This heat is just relentless. We're forecast to have high 90's for the rest of next week. Thank goodness for our electric company's flat bill program. My A/C runs non stop all day and only cuts off a couple of times during the night. I am so grateful I have it.

Is the heat why everyone is hot under the collar?

MS-wise, I feel not lousy. Any not lousy day is a good day.

Otherwise physically, just a lot of annoying little owies and dysfunctions that I can live with.

Anxious because of a couple of family situations, one minor and one major, that I really can't do anything about except pray and wait.

Thankful that I don't live almost anywhere else this summer.
