Ooo Jack Kruse Neurosurgeon's blog - Leptin, Leaky gut and MS

I'm sorry I just had to share this blog with others. Just the blogs Dr Kruse has been writing about over the last few days have blown my mind and forces me to question so much about how little we know about MS.

I had just finished reading a book from the library "Mastering you Leptin" by Byron J. Richards. I was reading this for personal interest in improving my leptin and reduce my snacking habits to lose some kilos and be healthier. And then came accross Dr Kruse's blog and read with interest his Leptin Prescription (http://jackkruse.com/my-leptin-prescription/)

Leptin is a hormone that plays a key role in regulating energy intake and energy expenditure, including appetite and metabolism. Leptin itself was discovered in 1994. so its fairly new science, and many doctors today don't know what leptin is, and mainly because there is no drug for them to prescribe in relation to it.

Anyway Dr Kruse started receiving lots of questions whether Leptin is related to MS. He then wrote up this blog on Leaky Gut and MS: http://jackkruse.com/why-leaky-guts-lead-to-ms/
He's basically saying a person basically had a leaky gut, which allowed MS to develop. Fascinating, looking back at how my partner got MS, he did have a lousy diet when he was diagnosed and can't help but think its related.

Then Dr Kruse released this blog on how to manage your leaky gut: http://jackkruse.com/the-leaky-gut-prescription/

Then this one on autoimmune diseases: http://jackkruse.com/where-autoimmun...sease-collide/

The blogs are quite scientific and need a few reads. But this is just so refreshing to hear someone in the medical community writing about causes, rather than just medication.

Please share with me if you also find this fascinating. I'm seeing hope in the world of conventional medicine

Since 70% of our immune system comes from our guts, I wouldnt be surprised if his research is true. Most of us have constipation, and or a hair trigger for a full release at the worst of times.

I will go look at his stuff.
