fiber providesss bulk and sweeps out the gut, but it also absorbs alot of the water that is there, so things can dry out more quickly.

there are a couple of prescription medications to try, one is amitiza, the other relistor, both are for chronic severe constipation as you mention, have you tried either of those?

do you take the stool softener with laxative, im assuming or senokot s, if so how many?
I looked up both medications, it seems Relistor is to counteract opioid dehydration and only works in a situation where an opioid has caused the constipation. As Cesamet's not an opioid, I believe Amitiza would be one to ask my GP about. Thanks for the great info!

anytime DM. Pharmacists know a lot about chemical reactions of taking meds and she has been a great source for me. So if you have any questions, I am glad to send her a quick email. She is a good friend.

If you have more questions, not necessarily about constipation...just about another medicine and the possible side effects, do not hesitate to let me know.

That goes for anyone reading this...

I googled this question: Does cannabis cause constipation. As usual, the answer is...yes and no.
