Default After umpteen years I finally have a diagnosis!

My recent episode of ON and positive Evoked response test finally gave me a diagnosis. I have gone form clinically probable To RRMS! My MRI has looked the same from 2/97 to 4/11. I have had an excacerbation in '99 and then this ON.

I hate to congratulate you for having MS, but you have had patience. I hope it stays very mild for you always.

We all need to know what is wrong with us when we don't feel well or know something is so wrong with our bodies. I'm glad you finally have a label for yours now.

ummmm....yay?

Sorry you got your official "MS Club" card. The club members are all pretty cool, but the club "dues" (aka "symptoms") really really really suck.

I can't say congratulations either but I'm pleased that you no longer have to go through years of tests and years of wondering. If anything good can come out of this diagnosis, then I guess that's it.

I echo the sentiments of the others - I just think the monster you know isn't as scary as the one your mind can conjure up.

I hope that this MonSter isn't too hard on you, but at least you have some validation in your own heart now (and for those around you). I am sure that you have known this for a long time, but a definite Dx is reassuring and kinda empowering.

Guessing you don't know how the hell to feel now, is it a bit anticlimactic???

Regards

Lyn

Welcome to the club O.N. will seal the deal, that's for sure.

(nice to hear of another who had O.N. show up after 'vague' symptoms of MS... which is pretty much my case as well, though I had met the McDonald's criteria for the diagnosis originally, prior to my O.N. showing up just this last week).

As others have said, sucks to 'welcome' or congratulate in any way the diagnosis... but when one's waited so, so very long for a 'name' and closure, it is something to be congratulated if you ask me. At least in my experience, it was a HUGE relief.

Here's to healing and you know you have us and I hope too a great immediate support group or network.

Ditto , but I only use paper plates, now. The good china will be donated to the museum..

I use Correlle plates now. They're lighter, they dont break easily if you drop them, and spaghetti doesnt leak thru them like paper plates. And, you can put them in the microwave.

The good china is too heavy to carry once you put food on the plates.
