Default Ampyra

wondering if any of us have tried Ampyra - read about it in MS newsletter - then had neuro appt and he suggested it along with Copaxone - most of you know my thoughts on the MS meds - but would appreciate feedback on Ampyra - I understand it's a specialty drug so therefore quite expensive -

Here's a link to a thread that discussed it a little while ago. I think there are some here who've tried it.

I take Ampyra 10mg x 2 per day. It has significantly improved my walking. I am at what I was about 5 years ago. So, it has been very good for me. No side effects, but I never have many side effects from Medications. I look for it to keep making me better in the future.

It is very expensive, $14,000 per year, but the Insurance will in most cases approve it since it will most likely reduce future Medical expenses. And it is the only Medication for MS caused problems.

I don't have any experience with it but wanted to say . . . Where have you been Karen? We've missed you around here.
