I have to be on plavix for 2 years, I always took NSAID for pain, now I can't take anything that is aspirin or a cousin to aspirin, tylenol does nothing for me, what else can I take, I'm going to ask the doc when I see him this week, I'm afraid he will say Lyrica which is too expensive and causes unbelivable constipation. Help

I've only used Aleve. It seems to work for me but I'm thinking I need something stronger. My right hand is numb but hurts like the dickens. I take LDN regularly so a narcotic pain reliever is out for me.

Over the counter - Tylenol 1 (I'm in Canada, don't require a script for the 1s here) or Aleve. The only pain either seems to really help for me are regular headaches.
For more severe pain, such as my neuralgia from the MS, Clonazepam and Cesamet are the 2 I take.

After reading all of the scary side effects of Lyrica on here, I'd be Leery of taking that...
And docs are reluctant to prescribe narcotics for pain... Hope you are able to find something you can take...

Yes, aleve is an NSAID, I'm on LDN and can't take narcotics, I had a heart cath on Friday and could not take any narcotics for pain, was in a great deal of pain while this was going on, I'm almost paranoid about taking LDN now, I'm at a lost for pain med, it seems I'm cought in the middle with this problem, I want to stay on LDN and I can't take any aspirin, NSAIDS or narcotics, I have to have the plavix for 2 years to prevent clotting. This is a lot of fun.

![]() The only reason that you are told not to take narc pain relievers with LDN is because at very high doses Naltrexone is a narc catalist and so your narc pill may not work, but at the low dose of naltrexone that we take, I've found that this is not the case. At least on a temporary basis. If you have to be on heavy narcs for an extended period of time then I wouldn't advise it, though. ![]() ![]()
