Default Foot-up Brace for Foot drop

I was wondering if anyone on here had ever used the Foot-up brace. My Neuro suggested it to me this week. I currently am wearing an AFO that I really hate wearing. I do tend to hyper extend my knee and the AFO helps stop me from doing that as much, but I actually still do it with the AFO. I'm just so scared of falling again I think thats why I do that. I just don't want to spend the money for this brace until I hear from others that it helps.
Thanks
