It is true that if you distract your mind, it sometimes helps physically. I don't often feel like working out, but once I do, I feel better. Getting out of the house, even to browse around the yard (even at this time of year) helps my mood too. Being stuck in the house allows me to think too much about what I can't do.
I also believe in writing in a "Gratitude Journal". Yes, even we MS patients have people or things to be grateful for. If I concentrate on the abundance in my life, the things I don't have or can't do seem smaller by comparison... |
I know you all are right....just can't seem to beat the funk right now. My mom is dieing of cancer. It was breast cancer four years ago, but has now has metastasized to her spine, bones and lungs. So I know this is a huge factor to my sadness.

Praying for you and Mom. |
Yup - I have a neuro appt. tomorrow at 1:45, which is practically my bedtime, but I couldn't get anything earlier. Hoping to stop at Wal-Mart first to pick up a few things and hang onto the cart for dear life. I don't know why I'm applying for jobs - can barely get out of bed in the a.m. - but no one's hiring me anyhow.

I hope your appointment goes well MSer..

I haven't worked for almost 6 yrs...no one home but me and hubby. The most I do every day is shower and change jammies...that's right, no getting dressed except for Sundays for church! I lost my Mom, Baby sis, Niece and great niece within the last year so I know part of my problem is I just have the "I don't cares". Prayers for you and your Mom.
