Thanks, T...
Doc took x rays and said the bone looks good. He feels that it could be a couple of things...1)the muscle area directly below this lump could be atrophying from MS, and thus is making the area above it look larger; 2) there could be scar tissue in the muscle due to the Copaxone injections; 3)the problems with foot drop and balance in that leg might have made that muscle overcompensate, thus making it larger. He is sending me for an MRI, and then I will see him after the New Year to discuss...but he feels it isn't cancer. he also said that knee has severe arthritis now. I told him I am working on weight reduction so that I will be less heavy when having it replaced. He has told me in the past to wait to replace it as long as I can, because I'm young enough that I'll have to have repeat surgery in 10 years. Told me to wait until I felt the pain was too great or I was too restricted in movement. I'm getting close... Thanks for prayers/ support...weird things like this scare me... |
wait for news

Continuing to pray for you, Debbie! I hope all goes well and that it turns out to be something minor.:hug:

Saw the orthopaedist for the MRI followup...thickening of the subcutaneous area...no tumors or masses. He believes that it's from the Copaxone injections. Phew!!
