Thanks, T...
Doc took x rays and said the bone looks good. He feels that it could be a couple of things...1)the muscle area directly below this lump could be atrophying from MS, and thus is making the area above it look larger; 2) there could be scar tissue in the muscle due to the Copaxone injections; 3)the problems with foot drop and balance in that leg might have made that muscle overcompensate, thus making it larger. He is sending me for an MRI, and then I will see him after the New Year to discuss...but he feels it isn't cancer. he also said that knee has severe arthritis now. I told him I am working on weight reduction so that I will be less heavy when having it replaced. He has told me in the past to wait to replace it as long as I can, because I'm young enough that I'll have to have repeat surgery in 10 years. Told me to wait until I felt the pain was too great or I was too restricted in movement. I'm getting close... Thanks for prayers/ support...weird things like this scare me...

Continuing to pray for you, Debbie! I hope all goes well and that it turns out to be something minor.

Saw the orthopaedist for the MRI followup...thickening of the subcutaneous area...no tumors or masses. He believes that it's from the Copaxone injections. Phew!!
