I sigh, I hiccup, I sneeze I do all sorts of weird things. The Neuro told me my vagus nerve got nicked in an attack, and this left that nerve limping. This is the nerve that controls your diaphram. I just thought I was weird for years. I guess I still am, but now I have an excuse.

I get the hiccups alot, too. Very annoying but I figured it had something to do with MS.

Today my MS brain read this as "uncontrollable singing." For as second there I thought, "I might have that." I pop into song frequently. SO would say it is uncontrollable. Nevermind.

Carry on.

LOL! :D

I misread titles all the time. :o It's funny (to me) after I realize what it really says.

I sigh quite often and at one time I actually got in trouble for it at work. I printed out a bunch of documents on "Sighing and MS" but decided that even if I were to show my two idiot supervisors, it wouldn't make a difference. I guess when people sigh others must think they are upset about something. My husband used to get irritated by my sighing but once I sent him the information on how it pertains to MS, he backed off. ;)

I've heard it described as "air hunger".
