Default My optic nerves are healing!

I feel like shouting it from the rooftops.

My eye surgeon has combed over all my recent tests and says that there is definite healing showing up on my scans. My last evoked potential shows improvements, and she hopes that with this increase in healing, blood flow and the good looks of the tips of the nerve that I may...let me under line MAY see some benefit in the form of vision renewal. She is not saying how much, how fast, or how complete, but went on to say that in patients that she has seen show this same pattern in the past, they have had a recoverable visual acuity. (love the techie term)She went on to say that while she is not going to pin money on it, she bets that I am going to have an appreciable improvement. WAHOO!

I am still so worried, but she says that due to my good health, my good diet, my good exercise. The fact that I dont smoke, or drink and am good with yoga and meditation and am following up with the suppliments and exercises that were suggested, she remains "quite hopeful" that I should soon start seeing some improvements.

Keep those prayers coming! She said she has seen patients go from completely dark to full vision, and has seen completely dark to partial return. How far I will go, she wont predict, but she seemed quite hopeful.

It's nice when God says "maybe".
