Default Shingles vaccine?

My pcp suggested that I get a shingles vaccine. I am 55 and eligible under my insurance. She said that since I am not on steroids or other immune suppressant meds for MS that she thought it would be fine. I told her I wanted to talk to my neuro first. she said that was fine, and that she would also ask him in case there was a study she was not aware of that suggested you should not get it.

So has anyone here gotten the vaccine? Did you experience any problems? My mom has had shingles twice and my older sister had a nasty case a few years ago so I definitely am open to the possibility of getting the vaccine.
